Shawnette strolled a few feet away from her doorsteps to the salty foam rolling up the beach, the warm tiny waves caressing her toes, as her reddish toenails vanished in the sand. Ripe almonds dropping down from the trees with large leaves. Miles on the horizon, majestic whales spewing colorful rainbows above the sea surface. A gray bearded fisherman rowing his loaded boat ashore, same as other villagers returning with their nightly catch. Vocal seagulls feasting behind the boats. Each morning one step less for Shawnette’s foamy encounter, until one sunny morning the almonds were floating in her living room.
